Christopher Reed completed his first ever swimming lesson at the Y. I was discouraged on the first day, as he did not go in the water at all and we simply watched side line. Everything got better when Reed jumped to the task of taking him right after work. It was tough for me to carry Gwenn and help him get in the water with the instructor. So I have been staying home with Gwennie and Reed takes CR on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last night was the last day in the session, so Reed and I changed roles and I took CR to be able to witness his progress. And amazing it was! He eagerly jumps from the side to the instructor, (Victoria, or "Vitorya" as CR says) He can blow bubbles and float with help on his tummy and back. He still needs some practice kicking his little legs and floating. It was a proud moment for me to watch him succeed and follow instructions all with a huge smile!
Darling Christopher says the cutest things and he did last night after his swimming lesson. Whenever Christopher starts choking on food, but has it under control of course, we say, "Christopher did it go down the wrong pipe?" He'll respond by repeating, "Yeah, down the wrong pipe." Well, as I was helping him get his foot in his pant leg he says, "It's going down the right pipe Mom!"
I've noticed too he's catching phrases from TV and radio and us of course. Like after a commercial he'll say, "Car insurance!" He even repeats song clips and he'll say, "Mom turn up the music!"
We've been encouraging him to say the prayer at dinner to which he enthusiastically does. For a long time it was the same prayer as we had taught him. "Heavenly Father, Thank You for our house and our food, Jesus Christ name, Amen." Lately I've added that he can pray and thank God for anything he'd like to. So at dinner and bedtime now he'll look around and start adding in....., "Heavenly Father, Thank You for our dinosaurs, our wall, our door, our toys, our pictures, our house and our food, our pizza, our turtle, our bed, our clothes, Mommy, Daddy, Miss Gwennie Pie and Christopher! Jesus Christ, Amen!" Well done my son!!

Your pitctures look great. I love CR's prayer. It is fun when the kids start throwing their own personalities into it. Owen often prays that no one in our family will get lost. He must have some fears about that. It looks like you are doing well. We miss you.
How cool! He's such a little person, time files huh?
