Precious Moments.....

These are some precious moments lately that I wanted written down:

I've noticed lately when I hold Christopher on my hip his hand that is around my back will very gently caress my hair over and over again. I noticed it again yesterday as I had him on my hip while choosing yogurts in Freddy's- MELTED my heart!

Christopher says: "nice" when we reference his sister in conversation. Like, she's "nice"!
Prayer time continues to evolve.....
Prayers at night go something like this:
Mommy: "Ok let's say the prayer; Heavenly Father Thank you for our day." Then I begin from the beginning of the day and Thank God for each event that occurred. We sort of summarizes our day. Christopher remembers too what went on that day and will interject his thoughts. It's funny what he remembers. For instance, tonight when we say the prayer I'm betting on him remembering the boy in the Harbor on our walk today that was playing in the dirt, catching fish with his shovel and bucket and that he put seaweed in the bucket. He'll most likely say, "Boy", "Bish" (that's "fish" for you non-toddler speaking folk!) "Bucket", "woavel" (shovel) and he'll throw in "weed" too! It's just the cutest thing. Then we always just list everything we are Thankful for.

It goes something like this:

Mommy: "Thank you God for Daddy"
Christopher (whispering): "God, Daddy"

Mommy: "Thank you God for Mommy"
Christopher (whispering): "God, Mama"

Mommy: "Thank you God for Christopher"
Christopher (whispering): "God, Puh, Puh" (Christopher then laughs because his version of Christopher sounds like, Poo-poo!)

Mommy: "Thank you God for baby Sister"
Christopher (whispering): "God, bebe siter"

It's the best and sometimes he'll randomly add to our Thankful list with.....
"God, pehcakes" (pancakes) or
"God, Hepry" (his green toy train named "Henry")

Finally we'll get to end and he'll say his "A-men" and he'll say, "ahgin, ahgin!"
(again, again!")

Christopher walked up to me in the kitchen yesterday carrying half a coconut with a tennis ball placed inside and said "Hi Mama!" He placed the coconut on the floor and said, "Boat." His pretend boat of course. He handed me another coconut and said "Mama's." We played "boats" for a little bit. By the way the coconuts are from the sorbet dishes you can buy at Costco right now where the sorbet comes in a coconut shell. Our Friends Chris and Amanda brought them for dessert one night (a long time ago) I saved them thinking Christopher could play with them !

Coconut boat with passenger; tennis ball....

Don't get me wrong in everything there is balance. With all the precious moments there are other not-so-precious times. Like this pushing other kids thing. What's up with that? He'll walk up to kids and get right in their business, slowly lean into them, then push! Ahhh- not so precious!

Kids really do say the darndest things. We have a girl in our class who says "I miss you stinky face!" everytime she leaves for the day. It's funny because we have a book called 'I Miss You Stinky Face" and it's her favorite for me to read.

Just gotta love them.
