Growing up so fast....

Well CR is almost 20 months now. I just wanted to get down in writing how much he fills up my life everyday with joy and love- it's a wonderful thing having a child. At night He and I sit in his room after his bath and just before I lay him down. We sit and say a prayer together and I say the words, (obviously), but I say it like it's coming from him and in words that he can understand so that he gets the jist of this talking to God time. This time is SO precious. If he's crying at nap or bedtime all I have to do is say "let's say a prayer" and he'll calm right down. So I'll side track here to add (because it goes with what I'll soon say) that Christopher has been successfully pacifier free for two whole weeks on Monday, and he adapted really easily!! So back to prayers, when I am saying these prayers I always say at some point, "Thank You God for Daddy.....and Mommy." Then I pause to let him soak it in. He then says, "Daddy.......Mommy" on his own. It's the most wonderful time I have in my whole day to be there with him and to here him say our names! So it used to be, Pre-Pacifier, that he would say this under his pacifier and it was muffled, but now I hear it clearly, Post-Pacifier!!
Anyways, these are the moments I'll treasure forever.

Cute! I know kids are able to grasp so much more than we think. They are a lot more connected to God than we are most of the time. Their innocence lets them be that way. Too cute! He is getting so big!
