So I'm catching up here..... This goes from most recent to oldest of events:
We just got a back from Salt Lake City, where we visited Reed's family. All ten brother's and sister's and his parents all gathered in support of his brother Keith and Fiance, Jennifer. Who were hoping to be married here in the US, but unfortunately their wedding got delayed due to immigration hold ups. We sure enjoyed seeing you Keith, and we look forward to meeting Jennifer!! You two keep your chins up! It won't be long now and things will all work out!!!! Anyways, we all had a sort of mini family reunion instead of a wedding. It was a great time! We stayed at the Little America Hotel http://www.littleamerica.com/slc/ in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. Wow, what a great place to stay! The have a great pool- quite upscale for an such affordable price. Christopher enjoyed playing in the pool for the second time in his life. Only this time he would get upset and cry when we left the pool! He just wanted to stay in there forever.
Since we were with all of the Massey family and it being so close to Christopher's 1st birthday we held a little party at a park where CR ate a cupcake with a Book worm (gummy worm) on it and he opened many books as gifts from his family! What a great idea......he really enjoys books, so now he has some more options. Thanks everyone for making this so special for Christopher Reed!
Christopher's Great-Grandparents live in Salt Lake, and we were able to visit with them and take a 4-generation picture. Rene and Pearl, we Love you so much and enjoyed seeing you both! You two look marvelous!!
4 generations
Here's Uncle Keith.....
Spring brought us an influx of carpenter ants. These suckers drove me crazy for about a week before we called an exterminator. I was holding onto CR a lot too....I did not want him on the floor picking up those buggers. Guess that's what we signed up for living out here in the woods!
Here's Christopher one weekend morning. He's high-steppin' it across furniture now....Ooooo look out!
So I'm such an idiot.....I was such a lazy lady when my Mom was here and did not take ONE picture!!! I realized this all once she was gone. Boo Hoo, so no pix to post of her visit.... which we sure did enjoy. It was really quite relaxing. She helped us a lot with Christopher. Reed and I were able to go play nine holes of golf together only our second time being away from him! My Mom and I crocheted together, played scrabble and did some shopping. Which, inadvertently might be why I did not get the camera ready for crocheting, scrabbling or shopping photographs! No excuse really! Anyways, we miss you Gramma and loved our time together!! p.s. could I have some of your pictures??
